About

Idris Evans is a versatile British composer specialising in bespoke new music for film, TV and media.

He studied at The Royal College of Music, Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the University of York, and has an MA in Professional Media Composition. Over the past thirty years, he has worked with many of the most prestigious orchestras, groups, bands and companies in the UK and beyond, including the BBC Symphony Orchestra, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Philharmonia, Welsh National Opera and the Scottish Chamber Orchestra. He has written music for BBC TV and Channel 4 and has undertaken numerous commissions for private companies and in the charity and not-for-profit sector.
